Volunteer Opportunities

Our parish cannot be as vibrant as we are without the help of our wonderful volunteers.  It is a great way to develop lasting relationships with your fellow parishioners as well as giving back to your parish community.  Please consider getting involved in one or more of our volunteer opportunities.

Wellness Focus Group

We need our St Margaret Mary parishioners’ help to form a Wellness Focus Group.  The goal of the focus group is to build a Parish Wellness Committee. Overall, the wellness committee is going to help build a culture of wellness at St Margaret Mary Parish.  Wellness will  include (but not limited to) mental health, physical health, social health and spiritual health.  Assisting on the focus group does not tie you into being a member of the wellness committee. If you wish to help on the focus group, please contact Sandy Campbell at  [email protected].  Your input is appreciated!

Reflection Booklet 2019-2020

The Saint Margaret Mary Faith Enrichment Committee invites you to help our parish compose our own reflection booklet for the upcoming Advent and Christmas season. Everyone is invited to provide a personal reflection on each days' scripture readings, either individually or as a family, to be published. A template to follow will be provided.  Artwork is welcome too!

To sign up, please visit the Sign-up Genius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050E4EAFA72DA0FA7-advent.  For any other information, please email [email protected].

SMM Pastoral Council

The St. Margaret Mary Pastoral Council is seeking new members starting Summer 2019. Pastoral Council is a group of parishioners that assist Fr. Dennis in fostering  pastoral activity to advance the mission and life of the parish.  Members are required to be registered members of the Parish and be practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church.  Pastoral Council Members serve for a three year term.  The terms can be renewed once.  If you are interested in additional information or would like to be considered for this opportunity please contact Matt Scharenbroch at [email protected].

Prayer Chain

St. Margaret Mary is reforming our parish prayer chain! We are looking for prayer warriors who would like to bring healing to our community by uniting in prayer for the needs of our parishioners, their family and friends.  This ministry is open to anyone who has a willingness to set aside a few minutes daily to pray for others.  The prayer chain  communications will be email based, so we ask that you have an active email address.  If you would like to be placed upon the list of prayer warriors, please email Beckett Mathews at the parish office at [email protected].

If you have a prayer request and would like us to pray for you, please call Beckett at the parish office at 729-4560 or you can fill out the Pray Chain Request Form by clicking HERE.

FOCCUS Marriage Preparation Ministry

Are you looking to become  involved in a church ministry as a couple, but don’t have a lot of time to commit?  How about setting aside a few hours per year and helping our parish’s engaged couples prepare for marriage by becoming a FOCCUS Facilitator?  FOCCUS stands for Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding & Study and works by having the engaged couple separately answer a series of questions designed to help them learn more about themselves and their relationship.  Your role is to reveal their answers and encourage dialog as needed.  Perhaps you remember doing something similar during your own marriage preparation?  You can meet with the couples in your own home and during a time that is convenient for all parties.  Your commitment would be to meet with 2 or 3 couples a year.  Training will be provided by St. Margaret Mary.

If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Beckett Mathews at the parish center (920) 729-4560 or email [email protected].  Beckett and her husband, Jon, have been FOCCUS Facilitators for 10 years and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
