Introduction: Everyone feels alone or afraid sometimes. Jesus reminds us that we are never truly alone — He is always with us. In this In Home lesson, through prayer, Scripture, and activity, families will learn to place their trust in Jesus, especially during difficult or lonely times.
Opening Prayer
Choose a family member to lead the prayer. The family prayer leader invites everyone to s quiet their hearts and remember that Jesus is here with us.
Prayer: Begin with the Sign of the Cross. Prayer leader reads the following prayer while the rest of the family closes their eyes and focuses on the words of the prayer.
Lord Jesus,
Sometimes we feel alone or forgotten.
Help us to remember that You are always near —our constant friend, our
light in the darkness, and our Savior who never leaves our side.
Open our hearts to trust in You more deeply.
All: Amen.
Families make the Sign of the Cross together to close the prayer.
Discussion: Family leader asks the following question: When was a time that you felt alone or scared. (Allow each family to answer). Ask: What were some feelings you had when you felt alone/scared? (Allow time for answers). Ask: What did you do to not feel so alone/scared? (Allow time for family members to answer.)
We are never really alone. Jesus is always with us. When we feel alone or scared we can trust in Jesus. He never leaves us and sees us through the times we feel alone or scared.

o As was stated in the beginning of our lesson, we are never alone because Jesus is always with us. This song is a reminder that Jesus goes before us. He tells us not to be afraid. If we follow Jesus we can trust that we will never be alone or afraid. We are reminded many times in Scripture that we are never alone because Jesus is always with us.

· Matthew 28:20---"And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
· John 14:18---“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
· Psalm 23:4---“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Discuss the Scripture passages:
· Recall earlier in the lesson a time when you felt alone/scared, how do you think Jesus was with you in that moment?
· How can we help others feel that they’re not alone?

Dear Jesus,
Thank You for always being with us — in our joys, in our fears, and even in our

you never leave us.
