ROAD CONSTRUCTION AT

ST. MARGARET MARY

March 23 - Early November

City of Neenah Public Works Department

Street Construction: Elm Street, Reed Street and Division Street

How does it affect SMM Church?

Reed Street from Washington Ave to Cecil St. will be under construction from March 23 until early part of November. All utilities (storm sewer, water service, sanitary sewer) will be installed before new asphalt street is installed.  Construction begins the week of March 23, and equipment will be delivered on March 16.

Construction will begin at the intersection of Washington St. and Reed St. and proceed south to Cecil St.  Intersections of Reed or Elm with Division will be intermittently closed but neither will be closed at the same time.

No parking on Division St. between Elm St. and Reed St. on weekdays. During weekends parking will be available on Division St. through the Elm St. or Reed St. intersections with Division St. The circle drive will be available during the weekends but only one of the intersections with Division St. may be available. Any vehicles parked on Division St. on weekdays will be associated with New Springs Christian Academy (in the former Shattuck Middle School). No one from SMM should park on Division St. on weekdays.

No parking on Reed St. on weekdays.  Parking should be available on weekends and depending on the construction progress.

Washington St. on the south side (school side) will have no parking during school hours. There will be signs marking the no parking area.

The only utility construction affecting the church proper will be switching our present sanitary service to the new sanitary service. Contractor is responsible for the switch because our sanitary sewer line meets the current standards. When the switch is done, it will not be noticeable to the users.

Parking in the school parking lot will be restricted: Right side and first row next to it, will be assigned for teachers only. The left side (next to parish office) will be assigned to parish staff, Adoration Chapel adorers and handicap accessible spots. The middle spots will be available for visitors and spaces for 15-minute school pick up.

This will be a challenging time for St. Margaret Mary School, Parish and our parishioners.

Your patience and support will be greatly appreciated during this construction time.
